The new 3G handset, Nokia 6212 Classic introduced by the Nokia Company recently features inbuilt Near Field Communication (NFC) that provides the user new ways to access and share content. As such, those using the Nokia 6212 Classic can easily exchange items like photos, videos, business cards or calendar notes with another NFC-enabled phone.
The new Nokia handset allows users to personalize and edit their own NFC tags, whether it is for making calendar entries or setting the alarm clock. It also serves the purpose of a wallet as the new Nokia 6212 Classic allows users to make payments and book tickets on air with a single tap of the device. One can also store one’s credit card information on this handset and access the account online.
But all these can be done only after subscribing to a service and installing an appropriate secure application. The Nokia 6212 Classic also features a two mega pixels camera, two-inch QVGA screen, stereo FM radio, MP3 player and an optional Micro SD slot expandable up to 4GB. This device is said to hit the markets in Europe and Asia in the third quarter of 2008.
