The Nokia E72 was launched along with two other phones - a 5530 XpressMusic which is a touch screen phone and the 3710 fold.
The most prominent new features of the E72 include optical scrolling as well as a 5 megapixel camera. The E72 is build upon E71 and takes the maximum features of E71. The E72 has got a frame which is ultra slim about 10 mm in width. The sleek design has been incorporated into this model. The E72 also provides user interface which has been improved over E71.
The keys have the optical navigation that allows the scrolling though your emails easier. These keys also help in bouncing around the menus in a better fashion. The camera has been upgraded to 5 MP and the support for about 10.2 Mbps has been provided. The audio jack which appears on the top of E72 is about 3.5 mm.
The Nokia Messaging comes with lifetime license and provides support for accessing Yahoo Messenger, Ovi and Google Talk. Setting up email has been made easier via Nokia messaging, IBM Lotus Notes Transfer and Mail For Exchange.
The sound quality is high with noise cancellation being active. Navigation has been boosted up with digital compass. Maps are present with lifetime walk. If these are activated within first 3 months, then ten days of turn-by-turn navigation will be available to the user. Option of keypad acting as torch is available as optical navigation is present.
