Nokia on Monday, June 16, 2008 unveiled two exciting mobile handsets, Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 that have both blackberry and iPhone like features. Nokia E71 has striking similarities with Blackberry as it has a full QWERTY keyboard, has a fairly large screen and is thin. The Nokia E71 is encased in a stainless steel body and has embedded graphics.
Soren Petersen, Senior Vice President, Devices, Nokia remarked that both the Nokia E71 and E66 were designed for people who lead a mobile lifestyle and want quick and easy access to their personal and work e-mail. The stylish Nokia E66 is a slider phone. Both the mobiles promise to offer personal and professional messaging solution like Microsoft Exchange, contacts and tasks, access to calendar, along with the ability to download attachments like Word, Excel, Powerpoint or PDF files directly to devices.
Both the new devices offer all the multimedia features that people desire. Petersen highlighted that people wanted well-crafted devices that are beautiful to use as well as behold. Hence he added that stainless steel was chosen as the core material for these devices, giving them additional strength and a touch of class. Both the Nokia phones are also compatible with the latest Ovi services including maps, music and media sharing. The devices are expected to hit the markets of UK by July and are going to cost EUR 350 (approx Rs 23,255) each.
