Nokia has unveiled its Windows-based netbook called the Nokia Booklet 3G.

Nokia has announced that its netbook, Nokia Booklet 3G, will soon be made available to the customers.  This announcement, which came on Monday, is a boost to the Nokia-Microsoft tie-up.
 
Nokia Booklet 3G comes with a 12-hour battery life and a weight which is not even a pound. The final specifications will be updated at the Nokia World in Stuttgart on September 2.
 
The Nokia netbook will have a 10-inch glass HD-ready display, which is similar to the screen of the aluminum MacBooks of Apple.
 
Powered with the ubiquitous Intel’ Atom processor, the Booklet 3G also provides the users with the Wi-Fi and 3G/HSPA capability.
 
Kai Oistamo, Nokia's vice president for devices, in a statement said, "A growing number of people want the computing power of a PC with the full benefits of mobility. We are in the business of connecting people and the Nokia Booklet 3G is a natural evolution for us."
 
Nokia has said that the users of the new netbook will be able to use the firm's Ovi suite, which offers easy-to-use seamless synchronising between the existing Nokia handsets and the new netbook.
 
According to the recent surveys, Nokia has achieved 38% of the mobile handset business.
 
Booklet 3G also offers an HDMI port for HD video out and a camera for video calling. Booklet 3G comes with an integrated Bluetooth, a SD card reader, and a GPS feature linked to Ovi Maps gadget.
 
Nokia and Microsoft have also agreed to collaborate on Microsoft Mobile software and has plans to offered it on some Nokia devices by next year.
