Nissan is leaving no stones unturned to make their mark in India.  They are coming up with a state-of-the-art plant in Chennai. But that does not put an end to the CBU effort of this automobile major.
 
It has launched two new generation cars, X-Trail and Teana, in India on Sep 16. The new cars are equipped with new engines, revamped chassis as well as interiors.
 
The 2.3 litre V6 of Teana has been replaced with a 2.5 litre one which will deliver a 180 bhp and torque of 23.2 kgm. The other modifications which have been incorporated include larger chrome grille, new tapering headlamps and tail lamps, revised bumpers as well as novel allow wheels.
 
Inside the Teana, there is a fresh dashboard which has an instrument cluster present behind its steering.  The other remarkable changes of this car are the presence of the Ottoman chair, resembling the business class seating of air carriers, which is meant for the passengers of front seat, the presence of sunroofs, in both front and rear seats (only for the high-end models) and the presence of a Bose surround, which has multiple speakers. Yet another commendable addition is the presence of vented seats at the back.
 
The X-Trail comes with a all-new 2.0-litre common rail turbo-diesel engine, with 150 bhp and maximum torque of 32.7 kgm. X-Trail also possesses a revived instrument cluster, a fresh centre console, a control which is meant to be sued while descending from hills as well as hold assist for premium models.
 
X-Trail sports bigger head lamps, resembling the eyes of bugs, grilles which are V-shaped, a better bumper design, revamped tail lamps as well as new alloy wheels.
 
The cars are available in New Delhi at the following ex-showroom prices for different versions.
 
Teana
2.5 XL- Rs 21.03 lakh
2.5 XV- Rs 25.40 lakh
 
X-Trail
2.0 LE- Rs 20.81 lakh
2.0 SLX- Rs 23.18 lakh
2.0 SLX AT - Rs 25.08 lakh
 
The company also mentioned that it is also planning to launch its premium SUV, Murano and the 370Z roadster in India soon.
