Wii, the latest home video game console from Nintendo, is reported to hit the Indian shores very soon. With it will also come DS, the dual-screen handheld game console from Nintendo! It is after nearly two years of waiting that Nintendo is bringing the Wii to India or in other words, permitting Samurai India and HCL to launch it here.

No official announcement, however, has been made to support this news. But as far as talks go, there is a buzz that the Nintendo Wii and DS will get launched on September 30 this year in India. If you thought that the grey market prices for Nintendo products are ridiculously high, then the actual price of the Wii in the market is surely going to give you a jolt.  

As per reports, the Nintendo Wii will be priced at Rs 19,990 (about $450), whereas the DS can be fetched for Rs 7,990. This means, the pricing in the Indian market for the Nintendo products will be even higher than in the American or Canadian markets. What can still win customers over is strategic marketing and retail store presence!
