NIIT has signed a five-year contract with department of education of Gujarat to provide Computer Aided Learning in 1,870 high and higher secondary government schools in the state. Because of the new initiative from NIIT, about 9,00,000 school students across Gujarat will be benefited. Recently, NIIT has introduced similar programme for 1,672 schools in Rajasthan.
 
According to L. Balasubramanian, President, School Learning Solutions, NIIT Ltd, his organization is extremely honoured to tie up with the state education department to promote computer education across the schools of the Gujarat. Balasubramanian further stated that NIIT always tries to make education more impactful and interactive through IT. The Global Talent Development Corporation is committed to ensure the best tools and resources to the school students, he added. 

NIIT had also entered into contract with the government of Andhra Pradesh for providing IT education among the students of 2005 schools in the state. Apart from procuring the education contract from Rajasthan government, NIIT has also bagged twin orders from the Maharashtra and Bihar governments to provide training in 900 schools for the next five years.
