Leading learning and knowledge solution provider, NIIT and Adobe have tied up to offer web and multimedia course to schools. Talking about the new programme, NIIT President (School Learning Solutions) L Balasubramanium informed that students of class 6-12 will be taught to use Adobe Creative Suite which will prepare them to pursue careers in website designing, video editing and sound editing.
 
L Balasubramanium also informed that NIIT will introduce this programme in the top 50-100 schools during the first year of its launch. Each student will have to pay Rs 60-80 to learn the new course of NIIT.  Acquiring the knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite will be very beneficial for the students as it includes a host of applications used by multimedia professionals to design computer applications and rich internet content.
 
While NIIT will handle the course activities and sales, Adobe will look after the licensing of the product.  The course includes training on Photoshop (taught in Class 6, Illustrator (Class 7), Flash (Class 8), Premiere and Encore (Class 9), Soundbooth and After Effects (Class 10), Fireworks (Calss 11) and Dreamweaver (Class 12). The students can also opt for two advanced modules after class 12.
