New Zealand registered a 7 run victory over Pakistan in the third and final one-day international on Monday. The Kiwis clinched the series by 2-1 with the 3rd win.
Pakistan’s off-spinner Saeed Ajmal had his career best of 4-33. Pakistan dismissed New Zealand for 211 in 46.3 overs in the final day-night ODI.
New Zealand chose to bat after winning the toss. The 32-year-old bowled extremely well to put initial brakes on the Kiwis and then trigger the middle order collapse. The New Zealand team lost seven wickets in the space of 47 runs.
New Zealand had earned a 64-run victory in the second match on Friday where Brendon McCullum had scored a brilliant hundred. He once again displayed an aggressive form with 78-ball 76 which included three sixes and six boundaries in the 3rd match. Pakistan had won the first match by 138 runs.
