Apple on Monday (June 8) announced to launch a new and faster version of its popular iPhone by this month. According to Apple, the all-new iPhone 3GS will be available in US stores on June 19. The company has revealed iPhone 3GS at its World Wide Developers Conference in San Francisco. Apple claimed that the new version is more powerful and feature-enriched than the existing iPhone.
 
The iPhone 3GS will be released in 80 countries by the month of August. Although it features a similar look to the current iPhone, but the new version comes loaded with host of new features. The iPhone 3GS features a camera with video shooting and zooming facilities. The touch-screen facility incorporated in the mobile phone allows the users to tap the area of the photo they would like to put into focus. The new iPhone will have a longer battery life and carry a price tag similar to its earlier version.
 
The company has also dropped the price of the current iPhone 3G to $99 ahead of the release of the 3GS. A version with 16 gigabytes of storage will sell for $199 with a new contract and the one with a 32-gigabyte storage capacity will cost $299. Apple also informed of putting a new iPhone operating system, version 3.0, in the new phones. According to the company, the new software adds a cut-copy-paste feature to current iPhones. 

The new iPhone 3GS comes with a feature called Find My iPhone which will allow the users to find out the whereabouts of the phone. The new feature will be offered to customers of Mobile Me, an Apple service that lets users sync e-mail and other data between computers and iPhones.
