Neelam Dhawan, the Microsoft India Managing Director (MD), will soon be joining the prominent American IT company, Hewlett Packard (HP) as its managing director. This news was officially announced recently by Microsoft, with which Neelam Dhawan has been associated for the past three and a half years. Ravi Venkatesan, Chairman, Microsoft India declared the Neelam Dhawan would be leaving Microsoft on June 30, 2008.
‘I am sorry to announce that Neelam Dhawan will be leaving Microsoft to join HP as the Managing Director of HP India,’ said the Microsoft India Chairman. Mr Ravi Venkatesan further underscored that Microsoft would thereby be losing a potent leader who had helped position it strongly in India. Ending on a happy note, Mr Venkatesan remarked that this shift of Neelam Dhawan to HP should result in bolstering the relationship between the two companies.
