Chief Executive Officer of NDTV Convergence, the digital arm of the NDTV Group, Sanjay Trehan has resigned after a two years stint with this company. He quit the organisation on April 13, 2009 and is presently serving his notice period. Confirming the development to a media he said that, he will announce his next assignment in three weeks time.

 

Trehan also said that, he is looking ahead for a far better opportunity, which sounds to be very lucrative for him as he will be joining a consumer focused Internet company. About his stay at NDTV, he said that, his experience at NDTV was very enriching and empowering and he enjoyed a fantastic working relationship with the senior management of the company.

 

Trehan had joined NDTV in March 2007 and was the founding CEO of NDTV Convergence. He is credited to have built NDTV Convergence into a unit of over 100 professionals from a 15 member department. During his tenure the company launched a video aggregation website called Tubaah.com, a mobile Internet portal (NDTV Active), a youth portal named NoGyan.com and a Hindi news website, NDTVkhabar.com.
