Government-owned aluminium manufacturer National Aluminium Co has logged in a net profit of Rs.159.49 crore for the second quarter of the 2009-10 fiscal ended on Sep 30 when compared to Rs.444.46 crore in the like quarter last fiscal.
The total income of the company also fell to Rs.1,319.27 crore for the quarter under review from Rs.1,654.5 crore a year earlier.
NALCO is Asia's largest integrated aluminium complex and is a major player in encompassing bauxite mining, alumina refining and smelting.
