NASA has released pictures of Martian dust; the new pictures were taken using Phoenix's on-board atomic force microscope. These pictures show the dust particle which is about 1 mm, is representative of the dust that cloaks Mars. Also, because of this dust Mars’s semblance is red, and its sky is pink. NASA release said that this is the first picture of a clay-sized particle on Mars.
Evidently, Phoenix has been in endeavor of exploration of the Martian Arctic Circle since May 25. And, now it has sent many conclusive and definitive evidence of presence of ice and water in Mars. These recent pictures were taken through an atomic force microscope which shows a higher magnification than anything ever seen from another planet.
NASA has been trying to determine life in Mars for long, and recently there was news of discovery of micro-organisms in Martian land. With new pictures, scientists at NASA are enthusiastic, and said that these are proof of the microscope's potential. One scientist on the latest photos and discovery said that NASA is now ready to start doing scientific experiments.
