Super model Naomi Campbell has accused the British Airways of racism. Naomi was involved in the chaos of Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport in April this year, holding up a flight for almost an hour as it waited to take off for Los Angeles. The supermodel later even kicked and spat at the police officers as they removed her from the airport. She was later refrained from being jailed but was sentenced to 200 hours community service for disorderly conduct, assaulting an officer and using threatening words or behavior.
Naomi however has recently claimed that her violent reaction to a row over lost luggage was sparked by racial abuse. She revealed that she was called a racial name on that flight. Naomi claims that she was called a ‘gollywog supermodel’ by the British Airways employees. The supermodel is believed to have been banned by the British Airways. Naomi has genuinely apologized for what her misbehavior with the police officers but was quite unapologetic about the spat with British Airways. The British Airways has however not accepted any allegations of racism and in a statement issued that, they are proud of their diversity.
