MSI has launched two new energy saving graphics cards called N9800GT-MD1G and N9800GT-MD512. Both the graphics cards use advanced power control technology and promise to decrease power consumption by 25 percent. The company has incorporated its latest generation of capacitors in these graphics cards. In addition to it, the cards are endowed with Hi-c CAP and solid state chokes (SSC) for better and stable clocking.

MSI N9600GT-MD512 comes with core clocked at 600MHz and 512MB DDR3 memory clocked at 1800MHz. This graphics card uses 256-bit memory interface to offer memory bandwidth of 57.6 GB/s. N9600GT-MD512 has twin dual-link DVI and HDMI output. The PCI Express 2.0 card is HDCP (High-bandwidth Data Copy Protection) capable.

On the other side, N9800GT-MD1G has core clocked at 600MHz and 1GB DDR3 memory clocked at 1400MHz. Just like the above-mentioned version, this graphics card also uses 256-bit memory interface to offer 57.6 GB/s memory bandwidth. The N9800GT-MD1G graphics card supports DirectX 10 while the N9600GT-MD512 offers DirectX 10.1 support. The new versions of graphics cards use the latest SSC (Solid State Choke), which diminishes the high-frequency buzz noise caused by traditional choke.
