Two Pakistani ruling parties have reached into an understanding of impeaching of Pak president Pervez Musharraf. According to reports, an unnamed PPP leader talking with Pakistan newspaper ‘the Dawn’ has said that PPP and PML-N have agreed upon to go ahead with impeachment procedure. Also, they will reinstate sacked judges to their position.
Divulging army’s support the cabinet member said that the powerful army was behind the civilian government and not the President. The meeting held at PPP’s chamber was attended by Rabbani, PML-N leaders Ishaq Dar and Ahsan Iqbal and PPP leaders and federal ministers Sherry Rehman, Khurshid Shah and Farooq Naek.
The discussion was taken, and the conclusion has been made to bring impeachment motion on the President in parliament on August 11. Also, there would be special sessions of the National Assembly and four provincial assemblies on the same day. The decision has been taken to reinstate the deposed judges through an executive order to be issued by the government.
