Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab will clash on Friday, April 25, 2008 at the PCA stadium in Mohali. Both the teams are yet to taste success in the IPL and are fully ready for this all important match. Mumbai Indians have lost to the Bangalore Royal Challengers and Chennai Super Kings whereas Kings XI Punjab has been beaten by Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.

Mumbai Indians have played both their matches without their key  player and captain Sachin Tendulkar. Tendulkar who is nursing a groin injury is expected to play his first match in the IPL on Friday. In their previous outings, Harbhajan Singh has led Mumbai Indians in the absence of Tendulkar. Sanath Jayasuriya will once again have the responsibility to give his team a good start as the Sri Lankan dasher is yet to fire in the tournament.

Kings XI Punjab will once again hope that it performs as a unit to clinch their first win in the IPL. They have performed well in their last two encounters but failed to register victory in either of them.  It will be interesting to see the contest between Brett Lee and Sachin Tendulkar (if he plays) and Sreesanth and Harbhajan Singh. If Tendulkar does play then Vikrant Yeligati, the off spinner, may be dropped who was taken for 16 runs in one over in Chennai.
