When Mukesh Khanna played the role of a fictional superhero in the hugely popular television series Shaktimaan during the 90s, he had the children spinning and chanting his dialogues all the time. Years later, the TV actor now wants to recreate the magic of Shaktimaan all over again by creating an animation series based on the superhero. Khanna states that by doing so, the Shaktimaan character will become immortal. ‘The animation film on Shaktimaan is expected to be out in one-and-a-half year,’ informed Mukesh Khanna.
In Shaktimaan, Khanna not only played the fictional hero but also produced the entire the television series. ‘I was planning it for quite some time because an animation film makes a character immortal and I want to take 'Shaktimaan' to that level,’ he added. Mukesh Khanna shot to fame with BR Chopra’s Mahabharata in which he played the role of Bhishma Pitamah. For this new project, Mukesh Khanna says that he is planning to collaborate with some big firm. The biggest benefit of making an animation film, Khanna explains, is that that it can be dubbed in virtually any language and can thus reach a wider audience.
