Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) is likely to launch the 3G offer in Mumbai towards the end of February, RSP Sinha, CMD, MTNL, said on Thursday (5th February). He was talking to the media after MTNL announced 3G promotional offer Rs 599 for basic package on Thursday (5th February). For availing value added services the subscribers will have to pay additional charges.

 

However some media reports say that, 3G services are restricted to Central Delhi and adjoining areas. The services will be extended to cover the whole Delhi region in a month. Mr. Sinha also said that, as far as the customer base is concerned, MTNL has got a capacity of about 3.5 lakh in Delhi and Mumbai each. Sinha said MTNL will rework expenses after cost of spectrum is known and will not increase expenditure on salary and wages.
