State-owned telecom operator Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) is all set to introduce its pre-paid 3G mobile service in Gurgaon by next month. According to a statement from the company, MTNL's low-cost 3G Jadoo prepaid services will be launched in Gurgaon city by July. The state-run telecom giant has already launched its 3G services in Mumbai last month.
While interacting with the media, assistant manager of MTNL, Trilochan Singh informed that the work for launching 3G services in Gurgaon is in final stage and the company has covered almost all the regions in south Delhi. The telecom company will extend its footprint to north-west Delhi, including Karolbagh and Dwarka.
MTNL expects to attract around 300,000 subscribers for its 3G services in the country. As per MTNL's CMD R S P Sinha, during the first year of operation the company needs about 200,000 to 300,000 subscribers for the 3G mobile services. MTNL's pre-paid 3G service will be available for Rs 300, with lifetime validity.
With the help of low-cost 3G services of MTNL, a subscriber can enjoy video calls, live TV, and high-speed Internet access. Apart from these, the subscribers can obtain data coupons to get free data downloads with free video calls.
