After recent fiasco in buy out talks between MTN and Bharti Airtel of India, there are reports that MTN again have shown interest to enter into talk for the sale of stake in the company. South African telecom giant MTN have already talked with Reliance and Airltel and nothing came out. In dramatic outcome now MTN have sent feelers to Bharti Airtel, now it’s in womb of future what would be the impact of the feeler and whether Airtel is still interested in deal or not has yet to be seen.

Earlier MTN and Bharti Airtel could not agree on the corporate structure of post merger entity and this major obstacle led to a major fiasco in merger and acquisition world, particularly in telecom sector. There has not been any response from Airtel side on the news and hence there has not been any corroboration of affirmation of the stand of Bharti. This also means that MTN and Reliance Communications have not agreed on the deal and earlier company is looking for other players.
