Oscar winner actor Morgan Freeman has met an accident at northern Mississippi on Monday. He is safe and there has been injury on his arm and shoulder. His spokesperson said that Freeman is confident of quick recovery. However, Kathy Stringer, a spokeswoman for the Regional Medical Centre in Memphis, Tennessee, said that Freeman’s condition is 'serious.'
These contradictory statements have created uncertainty over the condition of the 71-year-old actor. Earlier, spokeswoman Donna Lee had told People magazine that Freeman has a broken arm, broken elbow and minor shoulder damage, but he is in good spirits. He confirmed about the surgery to be done to correct the damage.
The actor had won the Academy Award in 2004 for his supporting role in ‘Million Dollar Baby,’ and also, received a Golden Globe Award for best actor for the 1990 film ‘Driving Miss Daisy.’ He was driving a Nissan which belonged to a woman named Demaris Meyer, and she was accompanying the legend actor and she too suffered several injuries.
