Israeli manufacturer Modu Limited is set to launch the world's smallest and lightest mobile phone, Modu 1 in the UK by the end of July, reports said.
 
The so called Modu 1 measures 72.1mm x 37.6mm and weighs 43g only. This is a new initiative by the manufacturer to place its product as the smallest phone in the Guinness Book of World Records.
 
This feather-light handset sports a 1.3 inch screen and comes with features like built-in speakers, Bluetooth and an MP3 player.  The device has 2 GB memory that is astounding. Apart from that, the Modu 1 users can collect interchangeable jacket covers in a number of colours.
 
The Modu 1 is priced at £129.99 in the UK and is available via Purelygadgets.
 
Sariel Engel, Modu's vice president of sales and business development, said, “Our launch in the UK with Purelygadgets is an exciting development in Modu's distribution.”
