A recent health-related research over the use of mobile handsets reveals that there is a strong possibility that pregnant females who use the cell phone will give birth to children having behavioral and emotional problems. This study was conducted at the universities of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and Aarhus, Denmark and is going to get published in the July issue of the journal Epidemiology.
Over 13,000 children were examined by the researchers in this study, who stated that using the mobile phone by pregnant mothers for even just two to three times everyday was enough to up the likelihood of their babies being hyperactive and having problems with behavior, emotions and relationships. The study report pointed out that the health implications will be more acute for those kids who use the cell phone before the age of seven.
This health study report is akin to the warning given out by the Russian National Committee on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection. This body tells both pregnant females and kids using mobile phones that the danger posed by this electronic gadget is not any less grave than the threat posed to children’s health by tobacco or alcohol.
