Telecom operator Tata Teleservices Ltd (TTSL) announced the launch of mobile broadband service in New Delhi on Monday. The mobile broadband service would offer a plug-and-play device for individuals and small office/home office users. The enterprise customers would be offered a router.
Home users would have to pay Rs 3,500 in the beginning. They would have an option to choose a tariff plan according to the usage needs. For the enterprise customers, a router would be available for a refundable security deposit of Rs 6,999 and a one-time activation fee of Rs 1,000 (monthly tariff separate).
Vineet Bhatia, CEO (Delhi & NCR) and Regional Head North, TTSL, said that the demand and awareness for wireless internet connectivity are increasing and there is a huge demand for high-speed wireless internet access as there is a growth in the sales of laptop and PC.
