Lovers of SUV have something to cheer about. By the end of the year 2008 Mitsubishi is going to launch its premium SUV, Outlander. Mitsubishi is planning to launch the CNG version in Cedia variant while the LPG version is already available in the market.
 
Meanwhile YVS Vijaya Kumar, the Vice-President and the Business head of Chennai Car plant of Hindustan Motors (with whom Mitsubishi Motors had collaborated in 1998) said that the company, unlike other motor companies is not going be in the race of manufacturing small cars for at least 3 to 5 years. The Chennai Plant manufactures Lancer, Pajero and Cedia. Raima Motors, the second showroom of the company was inaugurated by Mr Kumar in Hyderabad.
 
Mr Kumar said that the company is selling around 450 units which is 40 % higher than the previous year and said that the company is concentrating on SUV model because of good response by the customers for the other four  models of the company i.e. Lancer, Pajero, Cedia and Montero. He also hoped that the dealership of the company in the country would be around 50 by the end of the year.
