In the latest ICC Test bowling rankings, Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson and South Africa's fast bowler Dale Steyn share the second spot. Johnson has climbed up one place to share the second spot with Steyn. Due to his 12-wicket haul in the two Test matches against South Africa, Johnson moved up one place in the ranking. Meanwhile, India's lanky seam bowler Ishant Sharma gained two places in the ranking and found himself among the top 20 Test bowlers.
In the batting department, West Indies middle-order left-handed batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul reclaimed the number one spot from Pakistan's captain Younis Khan. India's batting sensation Gautam Gambhir remain stationed at ninth position. His opening partner Virender Sehwag dropped one spot to 12th spot in the ranking. Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar also slipped another rank to share the 18th place.
In the test bowling list Sri Lanka spin legend Muttiah Muralitharan leads the charts. India's Harbhajan Singh remained constant at sixth and Zaheer Khan at 12th. In the team rankings India remain in the third position. After a series whitewash, Australia could see South Africa slipping and India moving to the second spot in the ranking.
