The winner of 2007 Miss Earth title, Jessica Trisko has announced that she would like to return to Philippines after handing over her crown to the new Miss Earth on November 9, 2008. The Canadian beauty queen seemed to be very excited on returning to Philippines after her reign. According to Jessica Trisko, winning the tile of Miss Earth gave her the opportunity of traveling to different parts of the world including China, Vietnam, Indonesia, United States, and Puerto Rico. She was also able to meet several international environmental leaders. The 2008 Miss Earth contest will be hosted by Angeles City in Pampanga on November 9.

 

Talking about the on-going beauty contest, she stated that becoming a beauty queen does not end up the job. She hoped that her successor will work dedicatedly for the promotion of environmental protection instead of basking in the glory of her beauty. According to her, beauty queens should take the responsibility on their shoulders to work for the upliftment of the society. Speaking to media Jessica Trisko explained the role of  beauty queens and urged them to accomplish the role with immense commitment and dedication without concerning about the outcome.
