America’s current teen idol, the 15 year-old Miley Cyrus who stars in the hugely popular TV series "Hanna Montana" has apologized for her recent two sets of pictures in which she flashes her bra, lies across a boy's lap and appears semi-nude. This churchgoing daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus said on Sunday, April 27 that she was uncomfortable with some of her recent pictures uploaded on the internet and few others that will soon be published in the Vanity Fair Magazine.

The first set of Miley Cyrus’s pictures released over the Internet recently features her draped over the lap of her then-boyfriend, her producer's son. There is also another picture in which Cyrus reveals part of her green bra. The second set of Miley Cyrus’s pictures will appear in the June edition of the Vanity Fair Magazine and has been shot by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz. In these pictures, the teen star appears to be topless and wrapped in a blanket.

In a statement published on People magazine's Web site, Miley Cyrus said that she felt very honored and thrilled to work with Annie for the Vanity Fair Magazine. She said she undertook a photo shoot that was supposed to be artistic, but now was feeling embarrassed upon seeing the photographs and the story have been published. The Disney Channel supported Miley Cyrus saying that ‘a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines.’
