Californian punk rockers Mika Miko will play a farewell concert in Los Angeles next month (Nov09) after announcing the band is to split.
The rockers will disband after six years together to allow the members to pursue other goals.
But guitarist Michelle Suarez insists the break-up is amicable.
She tells the Los Angeles Times, "There's no bad blood at all, we're all still really good friends.
"We've just been a band since high school and all of us are ready to move on to different things. We started the band for fun and wanted to end on a positive note."
Mika Miko will press ahead with plans to play Austin's Fun Fun Fun Fest in Texas on 8 November (09), while a farewell gig will follow shortly afterwards.
