Microsoft has transformed its Windows Live site into a social networking by offering several online services. The Microsoft live site incorporates feature like photo sharing, e-mail and instant messaging facility. According to experts, Microsoft is trying to follow the path of Yahoo by building its social networking strategy through instant messaging. Apart from these, Microsoft's Windows Live site offers a number of other services including calendar, photos, online storage, etc., as well as downloaded services that include a mail client, Movie Maker, Photo Gallery.
Microsoft Windows Live site have integrated activities from some 50 companies, including Flickr, LinkedIn , Photobucket, Twitter and WordPress. By converting Windows Live into a social networking site, Microsoft is supposed to announce open challenge to other competitors of the online market. The new Windows Live service plans to feature a main profile page that updates users to their friends' activities within Windows Live. The company's Windows Live strategy aims to compete with its rival Google as far as online advertising revenue is concerned.
