eBay, the online shopping and auction website, would be refunding the tickets of Michael Jackson’s ‘This is it’ concert purchased via Paypal. The pop star was scheduled to perform at O2 arena in London.
The King of Pop who passed away on Thursday after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest was to revive his career with the "This Is It" 50-day tour in London and thousands of followers who purchased the tickets to the residency had been waiting to see if they will be refunded now that he is no more.
An eBay spokeswoman said that the depressing news of Jackson’s death has left fans in shock. eBay was committed to ensuring that no buyer is left out of pocket as a result of the unique nature of the event, and will ensure all buyers on the site can receive a full refund for their ticket purchase. The procedure for the refund would be let known by next week.
The organiser of the concerts, AEG Live, added that the organisation extends its condolences to the Michael Jackson’s family and friends during this moment of tragedy.
