American actor and producer Michael Douglas ended the last Delhi leg of his low profile Mumbai-Jaipur-Jodhpur-Delhi India tour on Saturday, June 28. He had basically arrived in India to fix locations and other production details for his impending film Racing The Monsoon. The Hollywood actor was occupying the presidential suite of a five star hotel during his tour, whereas the remaining members of his team had boarded four other rooms. A member from his team told the media, ‘He wants to keep this trip a low profile, work-centered one. The decision to not make public appearances is a conscious one.’
The security arrangement at the five star hotel was very tight also because of the arrival of a high-profile Pakistani delegation. Those incharge were careful about not letting unknowns wander anywhere near Michael Douglas, who had his food amidst other diners normally without creating any fuss. Sources inform that he was mightily charmed by Rajasthan. ‘I am looking forward to working here,’ said Douglas after he completed his tour of Jodhpur. The actor was reportedly welcomed like a king when he arrived at the Umaid Bhawan Palace, a red carpet, camels, elephants and horses part of the paraphernalia.
