Merida city of Mexico displayed sixty-seven lithographs and engravings accomplished by Spanish painter Pablo Picasso at a museum exhibition. The exhibition has been organised to celebrate the 467th anniversary of the city's foundation. According to an official of the Merida City administration, the art show will run for two months and people can enjoy the exhibition free of cost.
 
The art show is being organized at the Yucatan state capital and the engravings were provided by the Picasso Foundation in Malaga, Spain, the birthplace of the famous painter. It took five years to collect the artwork which will now glorify the museum. Picasso's works displayed in the Mexican museum are produced by the artist between 1906 and 1971.
 
The lithographs and engravings showcased in the museum include works like 'Centauro y bacante' (1947), 'Retrato de Leon Tolstoi' (1951), 'Burdel, Charlatanas, con loro, Celestina y Degas' (1971), 'Paloma y su muñeca, fondo negro' (1952) and 'Dos mujeres desnudas' (1946). According to the organiser, the exhibition will allow common people to take a close look at the masterpieces of the great artist.
