With a view to provide better convenience to the people on polling day, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to start its train services early in the morning of November 29. According to a statement of DMRC, the train services will be available from 4 am instead of 6 am on Delhi polling day. The chief public relation officer of DMRC, Anuj Dayal informed that during the polling day the metro trains will be available at a frequency of 15 minutes on all the three lines till 6 am. After that, the train services will run with their normal frequency throughout the day. The new decision of the DMRC will solve the problem of the Delhi voters to a large extent. The people who have the access of metro services are supposed to exercise their rights very conveniently.
 
This year's assembly election poll in Delhi will see as many as 69 parties with a total of 863 candidates contesting among themselves. Out of the 70 assembly seats in Delhi, voting will be held for 69 seats. The counting of the votes will be conducted on December 8. A total of 10.7 million voters are expected to cast their votes at over 11,000 polling booths in this year's assembly election. Report says that compared to 2003 Delhi assembly election the number of voters in 2008 has increased by 25 per cent. Over 1,500 booths have been declared 'sensitive' and 'hypersensitive'. Special security arrangements are supposed to be implemented at the time of polling following the Mumbai terror attacks.
