Metallica, the renowned American heavy metal band, has launched a new application on the iPhones using which the fans of this band can listen to the live show recordings of the band.
Metallica and Apple have joined hands to provide the users of iPhones with the access to the website of the band for downloading 269 of their concerts and accessing Live Metallica application, at a cost of 99 cents.
iPhone users who have accounts on the band's site can download the tracks they have bought to their Apple phones and fans will even be allowed the latest songs for free.
"In our ongoing efforts to be of service and give you as many options as possible in the digital era, we asked the brainiacs that help us out with LiveMetallica.com to come up with a super-cool iPhone application that creates a streaming interface to your LiveMetallica account," read a statement on the band's website.
Frontman James Hetfield added: "It's about time, and I think it's the right move."
