Mercedes-Benz, which is a major player in the premium car segment, has launched its third-generation heavy duty truck, Mercedes-Benz Actros 4841K, in India on Tuesday.
The company has also mentioned that Actros is the most sold truck of Mercedes-Benz.
"Over 600,000 Actros trucks have been sold worldwide since its inception in 1996 and the Actros continues to remain one of the most trusted brands in the heavy tonnage applications segment," said Mercedes-Benz India managing director and chief executive Wilfried Aulbur.
"The new Mercedes-Benz Actros will be a valuable partner for the vibrant Indian mining and infrastructure operators and we have high expectations from this product in India."
Actros is equipped with a multi-function steering wheel as well as driver information system, which will ensure the driver’s safety. It also provides safety for the vehicle as well cargo during transportation.
