Dubai's Mercator and Indian IT major Infosys have signed a three-year partnership deal to establish an offshore development centre in Chennai. Mercator is a business technology provider company operating in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to a statement issued to media by Mercator, the alliance with Infosys will enable Emirates, which is its parent company, to expand its IT business to meet the increasing demand.
The company's decision to opt for Infosys was taken after watching the high quality performance of the Indian company. The president of Mercator, Patrick Naef stated that the expansion rate of Emirates Group is very high and it is expected to deliver all its efforts to meet the technology applications demands of the consumers. He referred Infosys as the perfect technology partner for Mercator.
The new centre will develop and maintain systems to support business-critical functions for Mercator's customers all over the world. The India IT company, on the other hand, Infosys finds the alliance with Mercator as a prospective business deal. The partnership will help Infosys to expand its business operations in the Middle East. The new development centre will be installed at the Infosys campus in Chennai.
