A new study shows that men who undergo weight training even three times a week for forty minutes have every likelihood of becoming bald. According to the researchers during weight training session testosterone soars up high and subsequently turns into toxic substance which attacks hair follicles. In the study scientists found that testosterone levels soared an average 25 per cent after one of the sessions and then returned to normal after 30 minutes when the body converted the male hormone into a chemical called DHT.

Now this DHT or Dihydrotestosterone shrinks follicles and roots so hair grows back thinner each time. Men with high-fat level are more prone towards balding hormones. This is not applicable to men only; even women who go through weight training have same characteristics. The new research is sure going to alarm those who are eager for toned muscles. Either now they can have toned muscle or good crop of hair, said one researcher.
