Melanie Brown, popularly known as Mel B or scary spice from the Spice Girl’s band, turned down to act in the much hyped English film ‘Sex and the City’ as she wanted to focus on her singing career. The romantic comedy feature film is an adaptation of the HBO comedy series Sex and the City about four female friends living in New York.
The former Spice Girl revealed that she would have loved to act in the film but she was working on her upcoming album and did not wanted to be distracted. The English pop singer, songwriter turned actress remarked that she was asked to do the film, but she decided not to as she wanted to bring her music out all at once. It was in mid-2007 that the plans were announced for making the film. The film was prominently shot in New York in 2007 between September and December.
