The super-specialty healthcare institute, Medanta - The Medicty the ‘child’ of renowned cardiologist Naresh Trehan, is all set to go functional from Oct 19, just two days after Diwali.
The super-specialty healthcare institute, which has been developed in Gurgaon over 43 acres of space, will be providing all facilities at affordable costs. “Medicity will be a largely academic institute and we hope to reach the neglected sections of society to make healthcare accessible to them”, said Dr. Tehran.
The eminent cardiologist had been fired by the Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre in May 2007, citing “conflict of interest’ with his ‘child’. He and his team of doctors and paramedical staff had been a part of the Apollo group of hospitals since then, during which the ‘child’ was being developed.
Dr. Tehran mentioned that even though his team has completely moved to MEdanta, they will always share a good relation with Apollo.
