Mayawati, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, who is undeniably the leader of Bahujan Samaj Party, has been chosen once again to lead the part for three more years.
The election was held during the two-day meeting of the BSP national executives, which got over at the residence of the Chief Minister.
Among those who attended the meeting were party functionaries from more than a dozen states.
Mayawati will be holding the reins of the party for the second time. She had emerged as the unquestionable leader of the BSP after the BSP founder and her mentor, Kanshi Ram passed away in 2006.
Mayawati has been holding the chair of chief minister of India's most populous state, Uttar Pradesh, for the fourth time.
While addressing party leaders, MPs and legislators from states, Mayawati referred to upcoming assembly elections in Haryana and Maharashtra.
