In response to an appeal filed by Manoj Kumar, the civil court of Mumbai has finally ordered actor Shah Rukh Khan and director Farah Khan to make sure that their film, Om Shanti Om, should be telecasted only after the erasure of some scenes to which the veteran actor had protested. Kumar had filed a petition in the court for a scene in which he had been mimicked and the character, playing his role, was shooed and beaten by the guards in the premiere of a film.
Taking his significant appeal into consideration, the court ordered that the movie will only be screened after the deletion of objectionable scenes. The order again confirmed that all copies and screenings of OSO in future should occur without this scene. Shah Rukh Khan’s lawyer did his best to argue that the scene was just a joke and meant no slur to anyone, however, the court did not agree with the idea and took the decision in favor of Mr. Manoj Kumar.
