Actress and Emcee Mandira Bedi is all set to add a new name to the list of genres she has been associated with. After trying hands at Cricket commentary, the actress has been roped in by leading children’s entertainment channel Nick to be a part of the ‘Nick Fundoo Superstar Contest’. The promotion for the contest has already begun from May 5 and will finally end on June8. Commenting on her new role, Mandira remarked that she likes to experiment and has never stuck to one genre. She further revealed that what she liked about the show is that there’s no script and just involves being natural, wild and wacky.
The winners of the Daddy Cool contest to be held in June will have the opportunity to share screen with Nick Fundoo’s brand ambassador Mandira Bedi and their favorite Nick toon characters. The music video will be choreographed by none other than Saroj Khan. The song for the music video is probably going to a remix version of Bollywood number ‘Mauja Hi Mauja’. The contest will have four kids as winners who will star in the music video.
The Superstar contest will reach the grand finale in July with the release of the kids’ music video. The Nick Fundoo Superstar Contest will have no stress involved; the show just needs the kids to be themselves to be a part of the contest. Nina Elavia Jaipuria, vice-president and general manager of Nick India remarked that the show has been designed keeping in mind the aspiration of every child to become a superstar.
