Mammootty's newly launched production house Play House will distribute National award-winning director Shyamaprasad's Ritu, that is scheduled to hit the silver screens on August 7. The makers have planning to release the movie in 30 stations.
The plot of Ritu revolves around a friendship that blooms in the changing social and emotional landscape of a small South Indian town. The entire cast is new.
Ritu is Shyamaprasad's sixth movie. His earlier films are Kallu Kondoru Pennu (1998), Agnisakshi (1999), Bokshu the Myth (2002), Akale (2004) and Ore Kadal (2007).
