Almost everyone predicted that Bollywood’s bombshell Mallika Sherawat would disappear after doing a few raunchy films, but the audacious lady has proved them all wrong. After starring opposite Jakie Chan in a foreign flick, Mallika Sherawat has now clinched a meaty role in Hindi film Naagin-The Snake Woman, which will be directed by Hollywood’s Jennifer Lynch. The shooting of this film will begin by the end of this year’s July and Mallika Sherawat will be playing a naagin’s role in it. Naagin-The Snake Woman is being produced by Ratan Jain’s Venus Records and Tapes and also has Vikram Singh and Govind Menon as its co-producers.

Director Jennifer Lynch happens to be the daughter of David Lynch who is a four time Oscar nominee and two time Cannes film festival winner. Surveillance featuring Bill Pullman and Julia Ormand was the last film of Jennifer Lynch that got screened during this year’s Cannes Film Festival. One will also see actor Irfan Khan in Naagin playing the character of a policeman, who is hell bent on destroying the legendary powers of the Naagin. The rest of the cast is still being selected. Robert Kurtzman, the special effects expert of Hollywood, has also been roped in for this Bollywood venture.
