Indian automobile major Mahindra and Mahindra has logged a net profit of Rs.703 crore for the 2009-10 Q2 reporting a surge of 242% from the Rs.206 crore reported during the Q2 of 2008-09 fiscal.
The gross revenue for the period under the review has been reported to be Rs.5,189 crore, 40% up from the Rs.3,935 crore registered during last fiscal.
The company has registered a net increase o 44% in the volume of the SUV, with the industry registering a growth of 21.4%.
"The volume and market share growth of the company was driven by the excellent sales of Xylo as well as the refreshed version of the Scorpio and the all time customer favourite, Bolero," the company said in a statement.
