Indian tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi has expressed his enthusiasm for playing the Olympics along with his former partner, Leander Paes. Mahesh Bhupathi, infact, announced that he and Paes together can be India’s best medal winning opportunity. Mahesh Bhupati was seen to be lightly whisking away the recent Davis Cup issue. This was when he along with Prakash Amritraj and Rohan Bopanna, had opposed Paes’s captaincy due to a clash during their Uzbekistan match.
The trio, however, later agreed to play the Davis Cup tie against Japan after Vijay Amritraj managed to call in a truce. Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes have agreed to play the Japan tie this month (April 2008). Mahesh Bhupati pointedly said he was actually looking forward to the Japan tie. Bhupathi further expressed satisfaction about the way the season was going for him and his new partner, Mark Knowles of Bahamas.
