Pop diva Madonna has reinvigorated her plans to adopt a three year old Malawian girl. The woman, who gave the world block buster hits like Papa Don’t Preach, is adamant about bringing Mercy James home. Presently, the Malawian girl lives in the same African country from where she adopted her son David Banda.  

Madonna had to cancel her plan to adopt Mercy James after her marriage with British director cum actor Guy Ritchie reportedly hit a rough patch. Sources divulge that the American singer-songwriter has reinitiated the adoption process. Her friends say that this is a sign that Madonna’s married life is regaining normalcy. 

‘Madonna's representatives have been visiting the girl. The adoption is now advanced - all the government is waiting for is Madonna to forward the petition of adoption formalities,’ Malawian adoption minister Penstone Kilembe has been quoted by the media as stating. He added that only after all formalities are over will James will be able to leave the country and restart a new life.
